From Christy:

February 10, 2010

Our family's prayer is that as you read this the Lord has been blessing and things are going well with you and your family.

Our trip to Brazil for the anniversary service had to be postponed.  Unfortunately, I was diagnosed the day before we were to leave with the flu and pneumonia. My dad rearranged his schedule to leave the week of the meeting however, the Lord closed that door as well. This is one of those times where we cannot trace the Lord's hand in the situation so we are trust His plan knowing He has reasons for us not being able to make the trip.  We heard great things from the meeting and our hearts were encourged by the kind words from those who attended the meeting that have contacted us since.

As I had previously mentioned regarding the challenges our family has faced this year with health situations, I would ask you to continue to pray for these request/situations:

  • Mama's parents had appointments this week and unfortunately, the news was not good. Their journey is nearing the end. Please keep my mom and her brothers in prayer as they are making the decisions and knowing what lies ahead over the next few weeks and months.
  • Daddy's parents continue the same. They have not gotten worse, so we praise the Lord for that. Papa continues to preach every chance he gets...I was reminded by a friend in NC what a great heritage I have been blessed with...

We have placed our house on the market once again.  If it's the Lord's will, that He would provide a buyer and a house for us closer to the church.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers on behalf of our family.  We cannot live without the Lord's help.

We continue as always...

In HIS grip,
Christy
